Course Fee: HKD 6,500 (including Day 1 welcoming lunch, Day 4 high-table dinner, Day 5 farewell lunch and HKU accommodation)

Discount: Special discount of 20% will be given to applicants whose family members is/are the alumni of the Faculty of Social Sciences, HKU

Course Description:

This programme aims to introduce an integrative and interactive social sciences multidisciplinary learning experience for SS1 and SS2 (or equivalent level) students; to provide the opportunity for students to learn about different disciplines within the Faculty through innovative and dynamic activities; and to offer participants a taste of campus and hall life.

Course Outline:

This programme is designed for students to explore their way towards living a fruitful and meaningful life from the social sciences perspective.  With the support of the Departments of Geography, Politics and Public Administration, Psychology, Social Work and Social Administration, Sociology and Journalism, and the Media Studies Centre, in organising lectures, tutorials, field visits and team projects, participants will be stimulated and encouraged to think and learn more about life planning.  They will also be inspired to develop their own views on related social issues.

Eligibility:

Secondary School / High School Students (SS1 to SS2, or equivalent level) including:

  • Local and International students who are considering future University Studies;
  • Homecoming overseas students for summer vacation;
  • Mainland high school students

Programme Period:  July 15 – 19, 2019 (9:00am – 6:00pm)

Programme Fee:  HKD 6,500

  • Includes Day 1 welcoming lunch, Day 4 high table dinner, Day 5 farewell lunch and HKU accommodation
  • Special discount of 20% will be given to applicants whose parents/grandparents is/are the alumni of the Faculty of Social Sciences, HKU
