BUSINESS YOUNGSTARS
The HKUST Business YoungStars (BYS) program is a 1-year program specially designed for secondary 4 and 5 students (or equivalent) who are interested to explore more about business study and to get first-hand experience of what it is like to be an all-rounded business student at HKUST.
Enrich Your Student Learning ProfileEnjoy a series of exciting learning and networking activities, which includes seminars across business disciplines, enrichment programs, and skill workshops. Participants will be awarded a certificate if they attend four or above half-day sessions. Have a Taste of University Business EducationExplore and deepen your insight about our various business disciplines through the mini-lectures conducted by our business school professors at HKUST campus. Familiarize yourself with our campus facilities and immerse yourself in the university experience. Participants outside Hong Kong can also join the classes and activities in real-time interactive mode!* Gain First-hand Program AdviceObtain and exchange ideas with your assigned business student mentor to get valuable advices on public exams, university life and many more. Keep in touch with your student mentors and ask any further questions in the future! |
*Note: Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, the 2021 Business YoungStars Program may be conducted fully online or in a mixed-mode format for participants in Hong Kong. The Business School will keep an eye on the epidemic development and announcement will be made in due course.

Business Enrichment Workshops
Equip yourself with various essential business skills through enrichment workshops conducted by experienced business practitioners and trainers.
Peer Mentoring
Each BYS member will be assigned a peer mentor who is our current business student. Through interacting with your assigned mentor, you can obtain valuable advice on going through public exams, university life, business studies, career path and many more.
Social Gatherings
Mingle with business professors, current business students and potential future classmates at the program.
Outstanding Participation Awards
Participants who attend 4 or more sessions will receive an outstanding participation award certificate.
- Gold Award – 6 attendance
- Silver Award – 5 attendance
- Bronze Award – 4 attendance
Business Summer Camp
Business Summer Camp is a 4-day residential program on campus featuring business workshops, simulations and social activities that lets highly motivated Form 4 and Form 5 (or equivalent) local students experience U-life with our student leaders. A separate application will be needed (opens around February). Active participation in Business Youngstar will give advantages in the Business Summer Camp application.
