The Faculty of Science at HKU is excited to present a selection of workshops designed for senior secondary school students, allowing them to experience the world of science in a genuine university environment.
Our flagship programme, the Junior Science Institute (JSI), features eight dynamic workshops that span a diverse range of scientific disciplines during the second semester of 2024-25. Through these engaging workshops, hands-on laboratory exercises, insightful lectures, and interactive activities, participants will embark on an exciting journey of scientific discovery.

- Molecular Gastronomy and the Science Behind Cooking
- Sustainable Food Solutions: Rethink, Reduce, And Reuse
Students who have successfully completed the JSI workshops will be awarded a certificate of attendance. Special consideration may also be given to JSI participants for admission to the 6901 Bachelor of Science programme.
